BSB: James Herbert Smith (A Boy's Life in the Baby Boom)

Bank Square Books presents an author talk and book signing with James Herbert Smith, the author of A Boy's Life in the Baby Boom: True Tales from Small Town America. This event is free and open to the public.

In this poignant and warm description of childhood during the Baby Boom era, the author describes a time of boyish adventures with no grownups to spoil the fun. From rafting and spearing mud puppies in the canal and throwing snowballs at cars, to watching Mighty Mouse and Sky King on Saturday mornings, swimming in creeks and baling hay – and growing up from the Cold War into the Vietnam War, it was a world of freedom and innocence that is long gone. Many Baby Boomers will recognize themselves – and relive their childhoods – in this captivating book.
