Lena’s training specializes in reading body language, identifying behavioral incongruence when detecting nonverbal indicators of deception, analyzing written and spoken words when detecting verbal indicators of deception, conducting non-accusatory strategic interviews using advanced questioning techniques and elicitation to extract truthful information while concealing the objective, building rapport to gain trust and respect, and honing the skills needed to be a confident, trusted professional.
She is a former Department of Defense certified military interrogator and Naval Intelligence Officer. Entities she has trained and currently trains include: Naval Special Warfare, Customs and Border Protection, Drug Enforcement Administration, Department of Homeland Security, Defense Intelligence Agency, United States Marine Corps, United States Navy, United States Coast Guard, local and federal Law Enforcement Agencies, International Association of Arson Investigators, and numerous private sector companies. In addition, Lena is the recipient of both Joint Service and the Navy/Marine Corp Commendation and Achievement Medals. She is Six Sigma certified and Instructional Systems Design (ISD) certifited. Prior to her career in HUMINT, she received her Master’s Degree in Archaeology from Brown University and excavated overseas. She founded The Congruency Group in order to share her skills with DoD and Law Enforcement personnel and the private sector in order for individuals to achieve ultimate success in their personal and professional endeavors, put criminals behind bars and gather intelligence information to save lives.
