Savoy Bookshop & Café presents a live recording session with local musician Glenn Kendzia as part of our Live at Savoy concert series. This event is limited to 80 people. General admission tickets are $25.
Glenn Kendzia is the songwriter and frontman of the alternative rock band Wild Sun, who has quickly become an emerging staple in the New England music scene. The release of their debut album, produced by Bryce Goggin (Phish, Pavement) in 2015 on American Laundromat Records found their music in Top 200 rotation on the national college radio charts. Glenn has shared the stage with national acts such as Eve6, Blitzen Trapper, The Barr Brothers, The Wombats, Rubblebucket, Watsky, and others. In 2016, the band was mentioned by Rolling Stone, Spin, Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, and their debut album “Little Truths,” was named one of the Top 20 Albums of 2015 by Motif Magazine alongside Wilco and Kendrick Lamar.
"Passion that could be felt shining though the performance. Kendzia pours himself into every line of every song, with a rawness seemingly drawn from his personal experiences." - Pancakes and Whiskey (NYC)
"When Glenn sings, he feels it—the music, the song, the lyrics, the truth. You can tell that he sings of a deep and personal truth. Behind the jokes is someone who was meant to play music." - 95.5 WBRU
The Live at Savoy series began in September 2017 with a performance and live recording with Will Evans, and it will be continued throughout the year with a live recording for each session.
