Pearls Hang in Dark Clouds: A Journey on a Long and Winding, Broken Road (Hardcover)
Lawren wrote her first poems with her grandmother and a trusty, old thesaurus kept in an ebony bookcase. After reading the poetry of a John Lennon looking woman with the glasses, she endeavored to write a "real poem," known by its proper name as free verse. The woman spoke whimsically of a "Ladies' Day moon." Her next poetic interest was the work of James Douglas Morrison. She came to find building and tinkering with words a real joy and has been doing so ever since.
