Bank Square Books presents an author talk and book signing with University of Connecticut alumnus Andy Young, the author of Young Ideas: Twelve Extraordinarily Thought-Provoking Essays (and 58 Others) by an Exceptionally Ordinary Human Being. This event is free and open to the public. Mr. Young has long maintained that UConn helped make him what he is today. He has also vowed to get them back for it if it's the last thing he does.
Young Ideas consists of six thought-provoking, entertaining, and inspiring columns, along with 64 other ones, which help to provide the book with both depth and thickness. Much of the material comprising Young Ideas appeared originally as articles in several Maine newspapers, including the Portland Press Herald and the Biddeford Journal Tribune. The essays cover life events big and small, most of which center around New England. And as a special bonus, there is not one single mention of Donald Trump in the entire volume!
Andy Young is now a high school English teacher in Kennebunk, Maine, after time spent in the Peace Corps and in sportscasting across the U.S. He lives in Cumberland, Maine, along with his three children.
