About the Authors

Robert Conard, author of Saga of Kee
Robert Conard was born in Columbus, Ohio in November, 1939. He is a Navy veteran who served on a destroyer as a gunner’s mate during the Cuban Missle Crisis. At the age of ten, his grandfather read The Iliad to him by lantern light in a small town in southern Ohio that had yet to receive electricity. He has been hooked on the classics ever since. Bob is an avid fisherman, and has written several periodicals for the New England Fisherman. He has also written several short stories—Sharks’ Soup being the most famous. He currently lives with his wife Priscilla in Guilford, Connecticut.

Billie Kowalewski, author of Enlightened
Starting at a very young age, Billie has always been a storyteller. In grade school she often drove her classmate’s nuts with wild tales she told about her home life during school. She spent her most of her childhood and well into her adult years playing in her imagination as well, dreaming up many stories and characters. At times she felt that her imagination was wildly out of control and was unsure of what to do with it. She toyed with the idea of writing one of her stories down, but without the formal education that most authors have she lacked the confidence she needed for a long time and was unsure of where to begin. She often combed bookstore and library shelves for stories similar to what she had been imagining—especially one story in particular—and often came away disappointed. Although she loves many authors work none of them ever came close to what she was longing for. She slowly came to realize that in order for her to ever be able to read what she was imagining, she would have to create it herself. It was in April of 2010 that she finally decided to give it a try. She had no idea, what that journey would entail or how long it would take, but she never gave up and never stopped. Finally she found the best outlet for her crazy imagination, she was in love, and has never looked back. After four drafts and six crazy years she finally finished her first novel, Enlightened. She is excitedly looking forward to creating many more stories in the future. Billie presently lives in Connecticut with her wonderful family. She drives a school bus for the town of East Haddam and she couldn’t be happier.

Jason Pere, author of World After Death
Jason Pere is a born-and-raised New Englander. He always had a passion for the arts and creative storytelling. At the age of thirteen, Jason took up the craft of acting for film and theater. He pursued that inter-est for over a decade until refocusing his medium of expression into writing. At first, Jason took a causal interest in writing, starting with poetry and journaling. Over time, he honed his direction and finally began writing larger works. In November of 2012, Jason self-published his first book, Modern Knighthood: Diary of a Warrior Poet. Since then, Jason has continued writing on his own, mostly short stories and poetry. Calling the Reaper was his first experience committing to a full-length Fiction title. In early 2015, Jason became affiliated with Collaborative Writing Challenge (CWC). Since then, he has joined many other writers on numerous collaborative projects. Jason is a regular contributor to CWC and is scheduled to have multiple pieces of his work appear in their publications. Brittany Quagan, author of Ren: Awakened
Brittany Quagan, known by family and friends as "Brittles," was born in Connecticut, twenty-something years ago and spent most of her life day dreaming like the stereo-typical Gemini she is.

Growing up, she wanted nothing more than to live a life of magic, mayhem, and writing, never knowing her dreams were being manifested into a reality with every wish and intention. As a teen, her anxiety-riddled existence became nothing less than a burden, but she was determined to escape it and convinced there had to be more going on than just "being anxious." It wasn't until she met a new group of friends who guided her down a path of understanding energy and intuition that her life changed and she was able to overcome this. Today, Brittany owns Journeys: School for the Soul, LLC in Windsor, CT.; an anxiety relief, intuitive development & healing center to help others who suffer from anxiety/panic disorder, those who believe in the unseen to tap into their intuitive selves, and to help people grow, find empowerment, manifest like a boss, and heal from wherever it is they feel stuck.

Ren's story isn't one that just came to Brittany; it's a story she lived. Most of what you read about in the adventure-filled series are experiences that are very real, that actually happened as it is entirely based on Brittany's life, and people she has met along the way. The series is one that's dwelled inside Brittany since she was a child, but couldn't be told until she finished living it for herself.

When Brittany isn't teaching, counseling, or writing, you'll find her traveling with friends & family on a quest for adventure wherever she can, dying her hair every color of the rainbow, playing with her three nephews, trying craft beers, ruthlessly rating buffalo wings from all over the country, and talking to the moon. Most recently, she traveled to Alaska to dance on a glacier and bike down a mountain crying from hysterical laughter and extreme fear of plummeting to her death.

REN: Awakened is her first published book.
