About the Book
Phoebe Spring is just coming to terms with her parents’ separation when her mother suffers a breakdown. Unable to visit her mom, and with her freshman year almost finished, her distant dad offers her an incredible riding camp experience for the summer while her mom is undergoing treatment. About the Author
Throughout her lengthy art teaching career, Melissa Verdier enjoyed inspiring her young students in creative expression. In retirement, she now hopes to spur her readers’ imagination through her writing.
Melissa currently lives in beautiful coastal Connecticut with her husband of many years and her rescue dog.
Her debut novel Fences and Walls is set in a suburb of New York featuring a resourceful teenager who exhibits self-reliance and strength while facing difficult problems at home and school.
