Steve Powell is a retired bond trader. He has degrees in finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He spent the first half of his career at a Bankers Trust Company in New York and London. In 1994 he founded his own firm, Smith Point Investments. He ran Smith Point for fifteen years.
Steve is an avid runner and a struggling but optimistic golfer. He is married with four grown sons and lives in Connecticut where he owns a small gym and writes.
