The Sound Lab Foundation, together with the Friends of the Connecticut College Library, is sponsoring a visit to Connecticut College by Joshua Green, with book sales by Bank Square Books. Green, a 1994 alumnus of the College is currently a reporter at Bloomberg Businessweek. He has previously worked at the Atlantic Monthly, the American Prospect, and at the Washington Monthly. He began his career in political reporting at the Onion.
Mr. Green will be speaking on the Rise of Donald Trump and the Future of Nationalism, a subject drawn from his New York Times bestselling book, Devil's Bargain: Steve Bannon, Donald Trump, and the Storming of the Presidency. He will discuss how he came to research and write the book, analyze the success of Trump's and Bannon's third-way nationalist politics, and look at the future of nationalism in the wake of Bannon's dismissal from the White House.
The Sound Lab Foundation lecture will take place on Thursday, October 19 at 4:30 p.m. in Evans Hall, Cummings Art Center, on the campus of Connecticut College. A book signing and reception open to all will follow the lecture, which is free and open to the public.
