VIRTUAL: One Book, One Region Kickoff Event for Crazy Brave, by Joy Harjo

Please join us for the 18th Annual One Book, One Region kickoff event on June 17 at 7 p.m. which will be taking place virtually this year (register by clicking the button below). 

This year’s read for One Book, One Region will be Crazy Brave by Joy Harjo, the first Native American to be named U.S. poet laureate. The memoir will be introduced at the virtual kickoff event on June 17 at 7 p.m., featuring a presentation on the book’s themes by Sandy Grande, Professor of Education and Director of the Center for the Critical Study of Race and Ethnicity at Connecticut College. Harjo will join the southeastern Connecticut community for an event to be determined this fall.
